School meals are free for everyone

All Cascade students can eat school meals at no charge. Our North Queen Anne Building doesn't have facilities for a hot lunch provided by the district, but cold breakfast, lunch, and snacks are available daily. We also have a family kitchen if you would like to bring your own food to prepare lunch at school.

Students can also go to the school closest to their house to get free (hot) meals since Cascade kids don't all live near our North Queen Anne Building. Ask Lucy or Principal Owen for details.

Our ability to continue to provide free meals to all students (and to receive Title I funds) depends on families filling out the application for free and reduced price meals. Please fill out this form if there's any chance your family is eligible. The form is available at the bottom of this SPS page: https://www.seattleschools.org/departments/culinary-services/free-and-reduced-price-meals/community-eligibility-provision/

Free meals are also available over the summer through the city of Seattle: https://www.seattle.gov/human-services/services-and-programs/youth-and-young-adults/summer-food-service-program

Washington State's SunBucks program is another way to get grocery assistance over summer break: https://www.dshs.wa.gov/sunbucks
